Antonella Vignali is a software developer working at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna since 2014. Her research activity concerns with database management and data analysis through artificial intelligence techniques in the field of steelmaking industries. She collaborated in several EU funded projects, supported by “The Research Fund for Coal and Steel”, related to knowledge discovery in industrial databases. In the context of cause and effect analysis, she developed some models for final product classification on quality basis, through process control, in order to improve final product quality. Other activities are focused on time series analysis in order to identify the nature of the observed phenomenon and to forecast future values of some variable of interest. In the past, she worked in several steelmaking industries as a software developer, in the context of database management, data transfer and plant process monitoring.
